HAZZ comes from the pronunciation of “hachi's,” which is the plural form of the number 8 (“hachi” in Japanese), as the number 8 is Kansai TV’s channel number.
(The plural form comes from the fact that Kansai TV Adent and OCT merged in the past.)
The reason why S is written as Z is that “Z” is the last letter of the alphabet, meaning “the best or ultimate” as there is no level higher.
We revamped our company logo as of April 3, 2017. The new logo is a mixture of straight lines and curves, expressing the variety of Kansai TV HAZZ, which has both “straight lines = hardness (solid, sincere, straight)” and “curves = softness (flexibility, responsiveness, individuality).” Also, by adding something unique to the letter “A” of HAZZ, it insinuates that we aim to make unique proposals and roll out unique businesses that are different to make our customers even happier, as well as the fact that we aim to have numerous strengths.
The color of the logo is a bluish-green that portrays an image of being “unique,” “crisp,” “impressive,” and “stylish.” This bluish-green (jade) is signature of both “jewels” and “kingfisher birds.” It is said that the name of a similar color, jade, was derived from the fact that the color of a “kingfisher” looks different depending on the light and angle at which you view it. It is a color that well represents Kansai TV HAZZ; a company that has various “lights” and “angles” in the form of its (1) event planning, production, and management, (2) TV, online, and catalog shopping, (3) advertising agencies, and (4) store management.
