Profile

Since joining Kansai TV HAZZ as a new graduate straight out of university, I have been involved in various forms of production such as TV program production, website production, and catalog production, and now I am assigned to a new department. During that time, I also took maternity leave and worked while raising my children. I am busy with household chores and childcare in the mornings and evenings, but now I can work from home most of the week and have more time to spare as a result.

Question 01 Please tell us about the work
that you are in charge of.

"I am in charge of ordering, receiving, and shipping so that the products our customers have applied to purchase are delivered safely. I create the data from a system that aggregates orders received for Kansai Shopping and telephone orders from our programs, and then send requests to our clients to send us the products. The typical procedure is to check and adjust the arrival date, work with the warehouse team, and give shipping instructions when the products arrive. However, if large products or products with a large number of orders overlap, there will be no place to put them, so I have to make sure the products are delivered to us on separate days. In the unlikely event that a delay occurs, it will cause inconvenience to our customers, so I make adjustments with the utmost care."

Question 02 When do you feel a sense of purpose in your job?

"As I have been involved in the production of programs and catalogs for a long time at Kansai TV HAZZ, I make many new discoveries in my job in my new department. There is a sense that I can’t make a mistake because I need to keep track of what is happening with our customers, clients, and warehouses and I have to make minor adjustments while undertaking my work, but I am happy that I receive words of gratitude from being able to meet the needs of people both inside and outside the company. In February 2021, when “Mayonaka Ichiba” celebrated its 25th anniversary on the air, we received a lot of orders, and when the ordering and delivery of the products were completed successfully, I experienced a real sense of accomplishment."

Question 03 What made you choose HAZZ?

"I joined Kansai TV HAZZ as a new graduate fresh out of university. I was fascinated by being able to act as a go-between connecting our customers with wonderful products through television as a means of communication. I also felt a sense of security with the Kansai Television Group and so I hoped to get the job. People also played a big part in my decision to apply. At HAZZ, nobody pretends to know what they’re doing. I think I've come this far thanks to my superiors and senior staff actively asking me questions and encouraging me even when I am busy and work is difficult, or when I'm concerned or at a loss."

Question 04 What is the atmosphere like at your workplace?

"There are many people who care about other people more than themselves. HAZZ is a company where looking after each other when we are in need comes naturally. Immediately after returning to work from childcare leave, I was often asked to come to the nursery school at short notice and my children were sick and so on, but thanks to the follow-up and support from people within my department, I was able to take time off work with peace of mind. Even if you don’t have children, HAZZ has an atmosphere throughout the company that makes it easy to take vacations freely if you can manage your own schedule so that you get your work done on time. The president takes the lead to create such an atmosphere and articulates it to everyone. I think one of the good things about HAZZ is that every week, an email containing the president's thoughts and hopes is delivered to all employees, and the replies from employees are shared internally so that everyone can share what they think."

Question 05 What are your future goals?

I continue to balance raising my kids and my job. As now I predominantly work from home, I have more time and now I can have breakfast with my children and walk to kindergarten with them. The company's work-life balance initiatives have made further strides, creating an environment in which staff can throw themselves into their work, and so I think our work at HAZZ, a company that is capable of producing many things, will lead to the increased satisfaction of our clients and customers.
